We went over to Alecia's around 4:30 for pizza and to get warmed up to the idea of getting into our costumes. It didn't take them long before they were ready to dress-up. Kensley was the only one--to no one's surprise--who refused to put on her costume. Brooklynn was saying trick-or-treat and thank-you at every house. Leighton and Jade would say it but they were very soft spoken about it. Kensley and Giovanni hung at the back of the pack with myself and didn't say a word until we got back to Alecia's to check out our candy. Very thankful we had Alecia, Kevin, and Kathy all to help us--it definitely took a village tonight! Overall the night was a success. We received a ton of compliments on the costumes, hand-made by a friend of mine from work. She put so much time, effort and heart into these costumes; I hope she enjoys the pictures! (Thank You again Candice--you truly are amazing!)

Monday was the last day of swim lessons until after Christmas..as you can tell from the report cards Brooklynn did slightly better than Giovanni! hahahaha
These spider handprints were a hit last night! They loved feeling the paint on their hands and putting the wiggly eyes on the glue dots. Painting projects are never easy to manage with the 5 of them but they always end up worth it in the end!
I was really nervous to have the pressure of taking Katie's senior pictures resting on my shoulders but with Tina and Mariah's help I think we were able to capture Katie pretty genuinely in these pictures. And leave it to Brooke and Kensley to try and steal the show by sneaking in some pics with her;) I know I've expressed my gratitude towards Katie before but for those of you who don't know her you have no idea the amount of generosity, compassion, dedication to God, and selflessness that is wrapped into this one person. She has made a positive impact on each of our lives. She has become more than just a friend; she is family. As beautiful as she is on the outside her heart is even more beautiful. Leighton has been sick and needing breathing treatments for the past couple days and if you know him at all you know it's hard to keep him down. We thought carving pumpkins tonight might be a good calm activity for him and it was!! While three years old is by far the most challenging stage yet it is also the most entertaining. Their sense of wonderment is such a privledge to be around! Enough time has finally passed for me to look at this and find a little humor...Jacob and I were awoken to giggles around 3 am. We put them back to bed and didn't hear from them again til morning. Katie later sent me this picture of Jade-I'm guessing they stayed up awhile longer! If only we had a bedroom for each of them to keep them separated! Hahaha
Kavlicks brought birthday presents over and they were a big hit! Leighton of course was the most eager to try them on!
The Davis Family is one of those family friends that understands the craziness of the day to day and while we don't talk everyday the friendship still stays strong. Their daughter turned one this week and we were so thankful to be a part of the celebration! She has a smile that is so contagious:). It was a great party with perfect weather and simple yet beautiful decorations perfectly created by Shvonne of course!
