Long time - no blog--we have been so busy lately and anxiously waiting for spring break to get here...finally though some time to fill everyone in and share some pictures! Lexi recently had a soccer tournament and her team won first place--she was so excited to get that trophy!!! She played a great tournament-I love watching how much she has grown in the game and the successes that she has experienced. I was fortunate enough to be able to make it to all but one of her tournament games. Brooklynn joined me for the games Saturday while the rest of the babies stayed at home with Dad. Since we have been on Spring Break Lexi has had a couple friends over...yesterday they colored eggs trying a new method they found on Pinterest. It was called Volcano Dying. They had a lot of fun coloring the eggs with paint made from baking soda and food coloring. In order to set the color they had to pour vinegar over the eggs causing a bubbly "volcano-like" reaction. They had a lot of fun and the eggs turned out really cute! I also wanted to share the other portion of the Easter photo shoot with everyone. The babies were not overly excited to be in the basket with the itchy grass so we weren't able to get too many shots but these are the best of what we got. They make such cute little bunnies!! I'm not sure if I said where the hats came from before or not but one of the volunteers (Courtnay) made them--she is sooo crafty it makes me jealous:)! We were also fortunate enough to meet (through email--not in person yet) a family who had quintuplets about two and a half years ago. They contacted us to see if we would be interested in a table to seat all five babies. We of course were so excited to be able to use their table as it was something we had just started shopping for since the babies were about to start cereal. Since getting the table we have introduced them to cereal in the morning before their bottle. They absolutely love it--some more than others but they all do a nice job transitioning. There are few things cuter than a baby with food all over their face--at least until they sneeze;)! Giovanni and Jade do the best with eating from the spoon--no surprise with Giovanni's name being thrown into that category I'm sure! We were worried the table wouldn't fit in our kitchen but with a little rearranging we managed to squeeze it in and keep our other table.

I've been back to work part time since the beginning of November and unfortunately my time is running out for working just part time:(. After Spring Break I have to return full time. We are planning for Jacob to take some time off then to help my mom during the day. It seems every week we are scrambling to find enough volunteers to help out while we are both gone.
Even though we are only gone during the 1:00 feeding it is still a LOT of work to entertain 5 babies all afternoon. The volunteers we have are absolutely AMAZING--they help us out whenever they can but they each have their own lives outside of our craziness so their time is limited with us. I'm hoping to find a few more new volunteers to fill in here and there during the afternoons so that my mom isn't trying to handle all of them at once---although she has gotten pretty good at managing it. I know its a lot of stress on her and I'd like to eliminate that if at all possible. She has been our saving grace this year--she has given up so much of her own time and time with my dad and the rest of our family back home in order to help us out. I better be thinking of a good Mother's Day present right?!!?? The babies have been doing such a great job sleeping through the night! They have been getting up around 7:00 am. They get dressed and usually keep themselves pretty entertained as in the video until bottles are ready. You'll see who our nosey baby is--Jade doesn't take her eye of the camera the entire time!
