Its amazing what fresh outside air does for the babies! There is a whole new world for them to look at and they love the air blowing on their face. Jacob's aunt Diane is in town from Seattle and came yesterday with Grandma to visit the babies. It is always nice to get to spend time with her since she lives so far away. These pictures make me so anxious to do an outdoor photo shoot--unfortunately my camera died after a few shots but more will be coming soon:) Jacob's parents bought the babies swings and the materials for Jacob to customize their swing set in a nice shady part of our yard. He did a great job building it (thanks for helping out Roger) and the babies absolutely LOVE it! It was a really nice surprise when his parents showed up with the swings--we knew it would be a big hit with them however we didn't realize we would have to build a make-shift "swing-set" to hang them from. In a normal family they hang one swing on the front porch or from a tree out back but at the Alferio's we have to make a trip to Home Depot!! haha... Its becoming a favorite spot for them to fall asleep in. (Sorry about the black bars on the side of the video--that always happens when I upload from my phone.) Thanks to "Aunt" Kathy too for keeping them swinging!;) Hard to believe...I think I'll say this every month and every year--time goes by so fast! Before I know it I'll be planning that first birthday party! Leighton has finally found his voice. He used to be the quiet, shy and reserved baby but last night he finally showed us some more personality! I'm not sure why the quality is so poor but he was just too cute to not share with everyone! I couldn't get over how big Jade looked last night either--she has really gone through a growth spurt! Brooke is getting so strong holding up her head while on her belly. She is also the best at rolling over from back to belly and then from belly to back. The stroller from Foundations finally arrived:)!!! We have enjoyed every minute of it too! It came basically assembled--just a few pieces to be put together and had to add the top. We can not explain how much the babies (and us) LOVE it! You would think it would be hard to steer or maneuver because it is so large however it is actually really easy. We have been out for walks everyday--sometimes twice a day--since we've gotten it. And you want to talk about getting some strange looks from people who drive by.....hahaha--its not everyday you see something like us I guess! This weekend was also a busy one with Lexi's soccer. She had a tournament in Strongsville and played 5 games. It made for a lot of running around and a crazy schedule but we managed to make it to 4 games (Kensley and Brooklynn even joined me for a game). Her team has come a long way and play so well together. They brought home second place overall. |
