Check out channel 19 news today between 4:00 and 6:00 to check out our story!! Just don't make fun of how out of breath I get just from talking!! Haha...
I know----my lines are terribly crooked- I need to fix them but we are just trying out some different options to see what we think will work best to track each baby's feedings and changings! I never thought that a huge whiteboard would be something we needed when having a baby!! haha
Today I spent a little over an hour in my classroom trying to get things organized and somewhat ready for the school year. Hopefully I can spend a larger amount of time tomorrow in there so my sub doesn't come into a nightmare of a classroom! I can't believe I'm already doing all that stuff already but time is running out!!!
Its been a busy week!! My parents came up for the weekend and my mom helped me start making freezer meals. I thought one day would be enough time for both of us to work on a total of 10 meals but it wasn't! It turned into a 3 day project as I kept adding more meals and sides to my list of things I wanted to make. Between my mom and Jacob helping we were able to make a total of 18 different types of meals. Most of them were split into at least two servings so we have over 30 meals already prepared. I made sure to put them in disposable foil pans so they can be put directly in the oven and tossed out afterward. It was waaay more affordable than I thought as well--totally worth all the time. They will come in great use while I am on bed rest as well as when I come home and things get crazy. I hope this is something we can continue doing in the future to help reduce choas.
The other picture from the side bar was taken after a wedding of Jacob's cousin. I refused to buy a maternity dress so luckily had a stretchy one in my closet!! The days of squeezing into even my looser and baggier clothing are almost over--the bottom of my belly is starting to hang out of my longest shirts and even some maternity ones I have borrowed from friends. Today we are leaving to drive to Delphos for my baby shower on my side of the family. I really wanted to make this trip happen since I'm not sure how much we will get to go see everyone once the babies are born. I'm not sure that I will be up for a 2 and a half hour car drive with all five of them anytime soon!!
We are having a family shower at my aunt's campground so that everyone can get together. Lexi gets to stay in Delphos anfew days longer and go to Dayton with my mom, dad, and her cousin. Her and Brianna are only three months apart in age so they love getting together when they can! Jacob is officially done with his masters classes!! It's nice that we both have that out of the way before the craziness begins:)!
Talk about good timing! I'm so thankful it's summer and garage sales are in full swing. A friend from school ( shvonne... Have to include all the details because I know mom will ask ;)) picked me up and brought me to a couple friends of hers who both recently had garage sales so I could pick through their leftovers. I came home with sooo much stuff for basically nothing. I so appreciate her friends' generosity as well as how much she has done for me herself...it's definitely times like this when you find out the people who are truly there for you!! Thank you again guys-- so much!
I've been in the mood for projects these past few days...check out the progress on the baby room! The rocking chair was given to us by Jacob's Grandma Alferio. I wish I would have taken a before picture--I always take before pictures and for whatever reason I didn't this time:(. Anyway, I sanded it down and repainted it orange, made the cushion and the pillow. I love how it turned out. I also finished the curtains a week or so ago and got those hung up as well. Its starting to feel more like an actual room and less like a bare space. I am also working on some art work for their room. Hopefully that gets done soon but I've been so indecisive about theme to go with--its hard to decide when it has to be neutral. Jacob and I both like the idea of including argyle in the artwork somehow so that will probably be what becomes of it but who knows with the rate I change my mind!!
