Call us crazy but once a year Jacob and I love getting to feel like kids again playing in the mud! This year was a great course-pushed us to our limits for sure! It's great to have time together, with friends, and know the kids are in good hands back at home! Thanks to the Hartze's for a great weekend all around!
Tomorrow the season starts with a tournament in Strongsville. We have games from 8-10-excited to see them play again. Today I decided to take Lexi and her friend Alex out to the fields for a photo shoot. I LOVED the way they turned out!
The Kavlicks were nice enough to let us invite ourselves over to use their backyard for the latest photo shoot. I always feel bad when I ask to go over to someone's house because when we all come over it truly is a home invasion. Within minutes there are 100 little finger prints on windows that were once clean, crumbs where carpet used to be freshly vacuumed and toys strewn everywhere. Brooklynn was by far the most cooperative today for pictures; I had about 40 pictures of her and only one or two of the boys but overall I think I got some great pictures. Unfortunately I didn't have Amy with me this time so it was much harder to get a good smile but here they are anyway:) We have a small landscape pond with a couple goldfish in our backyard so the new favorite thing to do is feed the fishies. The only problem is that there are always a few pieces of fish food found in Leighton's mouth! Over and over again he proves the prediction I made while I was pregnant wrong-he is far from being my easy one! Lexi and I have spent a couple days this week getting school shopping done...she has never been much of a shopper but she had a lot of fun today! Katie has come over for a couple hours here and there so we can get out and run errands...pretty safe to say they missed her! We look forward to having her here everyday this school year. Lizzy and Connor also help us out during the day...it's great to see them get excited when they walk in the door. And there are some everyday normal moments that are just too cute not to share! Lexi's "date night" with us this time was going to see The Band Perry at the Medina County Fair. It was a great show but I particularly liked it bc they brought a great message-be yourself no matter what anyone tells you! I thought it was great for Lex to hear first hand that even the members of The Band Perry deal with the same issues she does. She brought along her cousin Brianna and between the two of them I think we have the entire concert either in video or in pictures! Jacob's parents came as well while my parents, Amy, Kathy and Tim took on bath and bedtime. |
