The kids had a great year of preschool-made some really good friends, learned a lot, and enjoyed their teachers. It made me so proud to watch them be a support system for other students in their class who needed help. While I wanted them to learn things academically in order to prepare them for kindergarten I also wanted them to gain a sense of empathy and compassion which i think they did.

My posts are few and far between with the day-to-day craziness however this is too cute not to take a few minutes to share...the kids each picked something they loved to say they loved dad more than. We spent today at Hinkley Metroparks and finished it off with Sweet Frog. Such a great day celebrating a great dad!
Home from the last day of school and already having a water fight with the neighbors-it’s officially summer break!
This school year was the best yet...I was lucky enough to share so many moments with the kids as they went through preschool. Hard to believe today was their last day!
Its been quite some time since I last blogged however we’re back at it! I just recently finished grad school and ready to share our daily crazy with everyone again!
This is one of my favorite days every year! I love watching them get messy and hearing them giggle at how slime it is.
This was the first time someone other than dad has cut Leighton’s hair...he wanted to go all out and get a design too!
They needed to get out of the house...they were crabby and continually arguing with one another. What I thought what just a walk around the pond turned into an "adventure" as Jade calls it now. It reminded that it doesn't take a lot of time, energy, or even money to make lasting memories with my kids...just time!
As we were walking we found fish, frogs, shells, shiny rocks, you name it...they were in a sense of wonder the entire time. |
