Noth Park is a new favorite hangout for us lately. The new playground is absolutely amazing! There are lots of different ways to climb and burn off energy there. Feeding the ducks and a picnic by the pond tops it all off too.
If you know me then you know what a crazy picture person I am! I strategically picked out outfits that would coordinate with not just each other's pictures but also the house. Unfortunately, they always find a way to outsmart my planning. When I peeked in their classrooms just before pictures I saw Leighton and Giovanni is completely different outfits than what we had laid out-not only were they different but they were as mis-matched and ridiculous as you could possibly get! Hahahaha...Leighton did bring the correct shirt with him at least to change into for pictures but seriously...?!? And then only 3/5 cooperated for school pictures, although I haven't seen Lexi's yet so my percentage might need to go down. I'm really hoping they'll agree to it on re-take day!
she always complains when I want to take a picture of her yet I find countless selfies and group pics on her phone...ugh life with a teenager!
so Lexi is in her freshman year! She worked really hard and was able to earn a starting spot on the JV soccer team too. She has a lot on her plate right now with practices, games and schoolwork but she always manages to get it all done and to do it well! She truly has a great work ethic...now if I could just get that to carry over into keeping her room clean.
Back to work means back to routine and structure! Tuesday's are spent with Nancy and John and we're so thankful they like to keep them active...makes for an easier bedtime! They are always park hopping and exploring or working on their "lessons" as the kids call them. They love learning to write and read with them.
