Brooklynn and I are spending Christmas morning together here in the PICU at Main Campus. Santa still managed to find her and dropped off a big sack of toys...if toys, kisses, and prayers alone could heall this girl she would be home by now! Her bed is being taken over by stuffed animals and there isnt a day that goes by that I don't get countless messages of people praying for her recovery. Jacob and I continue to see each other in passing as we switch shifts at the hospital. Times like this remind us of how strong our marriage is though-even though we can't be together in person we are there for the other mentally and emotionally. On rounds today we were told to expect at least another week of the ventilator. Her lungs loom better with each X-ray and she is improving each day but they are such tiny improvements in such a big setback that it's going to take some time. Please continue to keep Brooklynn and our family in your thoughts and prayers. We truly appreciate all the support we have been given through this and I know if she could Brooke would be giving you all her signature head-butt followed by a kiss to thank you!!
