Tuesday night Brooke started in with a cough and cold and by 3:30 in the morning she was starting to get wheezy and working hard to breathe again. We gave her a dose of her steroids and albuterol and she seemed better. My mom and Tina kept me up to date throughout the day how she was doing and she progressively got worse. By the time Jacob got home from school he knew he had to take her somewhere to be seen by a doctor. He took her to the Emergency Room at Summa and from there she was transported to Main Campus. We were happy to find out Dr. Gouda was on the night she was admitted. I instantly relaxed when I heard his name and even had tears in my eyes because he was by far the most compassionate doctor we have come across through all of this. Even Brooke likes him-she wines or clings to us when anyone else comes in the room but with Dr. Gouda she is calm and even interacts with him. The team of doctors were obviously very concerned to see her back and took it very seriously. After two nights of receiving oxygen and being monitored Brooke has recovered to the point that she is ready to come home!! Thanks to God for a quicker recovery this time!

So glad it was a quick trip. I truly believe that the wonderful doctors and the prayers that immediately started when people were notified is the reason she came home quickly. And of course I love the hat!
