Today was spent in Port Clinton at the African Wildlife Safari Park. We were unsure of the trip because it took us a little over an hour to get there and then spent a large part of the time there in the car too however the kids absolutely loved it! I can still picture the look on their faces when the animals would stick their heads in the car looking for carrots--priceless! Surprisingly even Kensley-our non-animal lover enjoyed the day! It was well worth the drive and nice to spend some time with my family.
For the fourth of July we celebrated with Jacob's parents, brother, and grandma. They all came over for a cookout and stayed to watch the fireworks. Dave and Kathy met us for fireworks later on and helped keep tired kids occupied. While the kids made it up just long enough to watch them the car ride home was not as successful. Jacob's car-with Kensley and Leighton was nice and quiet but my car-with Giovanni yelling "mom" every 3 seconds, Brooke telling me to "drive" every 2 seconds while stuck in the traffic and Jade quietly waiting to get home was not as peaceful! haha...in the end though it was all worth it! Not a single one of them were scared at the noise of the fireworks. The cutest part of the night was probably Brooke calling the fireworks firetrucks;).
