Since Jacob is still in school we decided to bring him lunch Monday. The kids-including Lex-LOVED having the gym all to themselves! I think my favorite partnofvthe day was watching them try to figure out the drinking fountain!

We met our friends The Hartzes at Touch a Truck in Strongsville...they LOVED it! Kensley of course was very hesitant to get in anything or touch anything but still loved it from a distance. On our way there we made our first stop at Honey Hut for some ice cream too! Conversation of the day: Tina: "Hey Jade, what kind of ice-cream do you have?" Jade: "Brown" Tina: "What does brown taste like?" (trying to get her to say chocolate) Jade: "Good!" Today we originally planned to meet Lindsay and the boys at the Splashpad in Medina. The air was still pretty cool in the morning so we decided to go to Memorial J.U.M.P park instead. After playing for an hour or so the sun came out and helped us decide to go to the splashpad anyway. Everyone truly enjoyed every minute of the day-except when it was time to go home! Getting 9 toddlers together for a playdate is no easy task but worth every ounce of preparation that it took! Jacob still has school for a few more weeks so Amy, Katie and I took the kids on their first summer field trip to the zoo! We met up with some friends from work and had a great day! Elephants were first on our list because they were highest in demand...pictures do nothing for their love of the elephants! Overall they did really well--we had lunch right before leaving and most everyone took a nap on the way home--except Vanni who must have screamed mom about 800 times as he wanted out of his carseat. Only one meltdown for the day isn't bad;) haha... |
